Seminar Description:
This course will provide evidence based strategies to facilitate core stability in school-aged children.   Principals of postural alignment as well as the muscles necessary for core stability will be presented .  In addition to therapeutic treatment strategies for use in school, we will problem solve classroom positioning for optimal alignment and attentiveness.  Finally, we will turn our attention to common injuries experienced by pediatric physical therapists and present recommendations for a strengthening and flexibility program.  Much of the day will be spent in lab and treatment demonstration, so please dress for active movement.
