Cheryl Ginther, PT, DPT
Cheryl Ginther, PT, DPT is a Physical Therapist in Madison, Wisconsin. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, she worked in a variety of pediatric and adult treatment settings, including pediatric outpatient, birth to three programs, schools, pediatric and adult home care, outpatient adult orthopedics, assisted living and a chronic pain clinic.

With over twenty-five years of experience, Cheryl has studied Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy with Regi Boehme, OTR, John Barnes, PT and the Upledger Institute. She is also certified in pediatric Neurodevelopmental Treatment. She has been teaching continuing education courses in Myofascial Release and NDT, Baby Treatment and Treatment of the Pelvis and Shoulder Girdle around the US for twenty years with the Boehme Workshops in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She received her clinical doctorate with pediatric specialization from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2008 and teaches in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Martha Burns, Ph.D
Dr. Martha S. Burns has been a practicing speech language pathologist in the Chicago area for over 40 years. She has served on the Faculty of Northwestern University, department of communication sciences and disorders since 1981, and served over 30 years on the medical staff of Evanston-Northwestern Hospital, both in Evanston, Illinois.

Dr. Burns is an ASHA Fellow and has received honors from Northwestern University, Evanston Hospital Corporation, the American Speech Language Hearing Foundation and St. Xavier University, and Scientific Learning Corporation. Doody’s Rating Service selected her book on Right Hemisphere Dysfunction published through Aspen Press as one of the best health sciences books of 1997.

In addition to that book, Dr. Burns is the author of a book on aphasia and the test Burns Brief Inventory of Communication and Cognition published by The Psychological Corporation. She has also published numerous articles on language development, language disorders, auditory processing disorders, and adult neurological disorders in professional journals. Within the past 20 years, Dr. Burns has been invited to provide over 25 international presentations and has conducted over 500 seminars and courses nationwide.

Susan Swindeman, OTR/L
Susan Swindeman, OTR/L, is a registered occupational therapist and the CEO of Wee Care Therapy in Dyer, IN. Susan has over 25 years of pediatric occupational therapy experience. She is certified in the administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests, and trained extensively in neurodevelopmental treatment.

She is known for her intuitive sense in appreciating the importance of nurturing the development of “self” in children. Susan is recognized for her work in identifying and treating children with sensory processing disorders. She co-authored the book and cd,
Tools for Tots: Sensory Options and Strategies for Toddlers and Preschoolers, 2007 & 2009.

Cheri Fraker, CCC/SLP, CLC and
Laura Walbert, CCC/SLP, CLC

Cheri Fraker and Laura Walbert are ASHA certified pediatric speech pathologist and certified lactation consultants. They provide therapy services at the Center of Neuromuscular Services and they are the clinic feeding specialists at the Center for Selective Eating and Pediatric Feeding Disorders, a multi-disciplinary feeding team clinic at Koke Mill Medical Center.

Cheri and Laura’s work in feeding is recognized internationally. They are graduates of Eastern Illinois University and together have over 30 years of experience. Cheri and Laura specialize in evaluation and treatment of infants and children with feeding disorders and dysphagia.

Cheri developed the techniques of Pre-Chaining and Food Chaining to treat children who are high risk for developing or who have been diagnosed with feeding disorders, problem and picky eating. She has presented on pediatric feeding disorders at The 2004 World Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Conference, The National Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Conference, the 58th and 59th American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine and the UCLA/UMH Nutrition Leadership Conference.

Cheri and Laura have presented at the South Carolina and Illinois Speech Language and hearing Association and together have presented numerous conferences for therapists throughout the US and Canada.

Cheri and Laura co-authored articles in Nutrition in Clinical Practice and international medical periodicals, The nest, Nutrition and the MD. Articles about Food Chaining have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune and Fox News Live Morning Show in Chicago. Cheri and Laura are co-authors of the books Evaluation and Treatment of pediatric Feeding Disorders: From NICU to Childhood and Food Chaining: The Sensible Six Step Solution for Picky and Problem Eaters.

Jennifer Rosinia, Ph.D., OTR/L
Jennifer Rosinia is a Registered Occupational Therapist and Child Development Specialist. Dr. Rosinia’s expertise is in the area of the neurosciences with a particular interest in sensory processing, the role of emotions and the impact of relationships on the developing child. With a growing national reputation as a powerful speaker and consultant, Jennifer brings a healthy balance of humor, passion and expertise to all of her presentations. She is the president of Kid Links Unlimited, Inc., a company whose mission is to link theory to practice, parents with professionals and kids with their optimal potential.
